Sorry it's been so long! Wow, I have been waiting on Thanksgiving pictures from my mom. I think they are not coming so I have decided to move ahead.
I know this sounds blasphemous, but I have a phobia of Christmas -- I hate Christmas, so I just wanted to get through the season unscathed and not blog about it.
I love New Year because it's so refreshing. New holidays, lighter food, people at the gym, shedding old ideas and old practices. Wow, it's great. It's also great to have a time to "start over." While possible, starting over in August just doesn't have as much oomph as January first.
While I'm the first to have a list of things I "am going to do!", am going to be better at, etc. One of my favorite new year's traditions is to get together a list of books I want to read and then read them throughout the year. I always end up adding more, so I never worry about the number I have on my list.
Want to know where I get my ideas for good books?
Barnes and Noble Best of 2011 (the previous year) Books
I like this because it gives people a chance to review them and I can pick up some really good ones I missed along the way.
